Deja beat him to it, and pressed her muzzle flat against his. She blew into his nostrils, and playfully danced around him, her coat shining. She found one tree, one of almost none, and stood beneath it. She glanced up at the snow on the branches, and smirked. He would have to come over here, if he wanted to play.

The snow sat upon the tree undisturbed. With cautious steps he went to her. Though he was out of range of the tree. "You can't get me that easily."

"Would you just pretend to like to play?" Deja asked, and stepped out of the tree range as well. She nudged him, then stood right shoulder to shoulder with him. Parallel. "You just don't give up?"

"Never." The hint of a laugh coated his tone. He kicked up patches of snow at her and playfully let out a snort. "Why pretend to like something when you do?" A rhetorical question. Happily he pranced around the mare.

Deja reared up, and striked him, but lightly and dully with her front hooves. She nudged him, and placed her feet back into the ground, so deep, water rushed to the top. She laughed, and stepped back, looking at the stallion., whom she was warming up to, curiously.

His front limbs lifted into the air. He stuck at the still atmosphere and gently tapped the mare's pole. With a laugh he lowered to the ground and waited for the mare to move.

"Hey!" Deja laughed, and moved out of the way. Quickly, she slurped some water into her mouth, the cool liquid feeling good on her hot mouth. She sidestepped away from the stallion, and lowered her head equally to her shoulders, tiredly.

"Okay, that's enough. I'm tired." EE complained. He dropped to the snow and laid onto his side, legs fully extended outward.

"I never said I was still playing," Deja laughed carefully, quietly. She glanced around the area, then closed her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah." He yawned. Slowly he rolled over from side to side, before settling and closing his eyes.

Deja waited until he was asleep, and laughed quietly.She nudged him with her hoof, and sighed. Maybe he wasn't the one to keep her around. He seemed to be pleasant. Oh well. She slowly turned, and just walked. To her, it really didn't matter where. At one point, the white splotches blended in with the snow.

The nudge woke him instantly. "Your leaving?" Though he desperately tried hiding this disappointment it showed in his tone and eyes. Slowly he stood and cantered after her, desperate to keep her here. "But...."

Deja turned, and watched him carefully. She nuzzled behind his ears, then bobbed her head. "I didn't think you.. even cared."

"Well it's not like I knew that," Deja laughed, then backed up a bit. "You could have just said so, instead of sleeping," She laughed.

He playfully rolled his eyes and turned. With a gentle nip to her shoulder he pranced back to the center of his land.

Deja followed him, but stayed slightly back, about 3 metres. This wasn't her land, and she didn't exactly want to be kicked off. She whinnied loudly, all the air rushing through her nostrils.

"I don't like being close," Deja lied, and let her forelock hang over her blue eyes. She glanced at the snow, then pushed her foot into it, trying to find something to eat.

"You really suck at lying." He noted as he trotted towards her and stopped a few feet away. "What's really wrong?"

"Ha, that's a good one," Deja snorted, her different temperament coming back. Mood swings happened a lot with her when she got nervous, or confused. Today, she was confused about her emotions, and was nervous. She sidestepped away from him, her ears laid back.

Surprised he stumbled backwards. "Um." Nothing was going through his mind, but confusion showed in his eyes.

"No it's alright." The confusion slowly faded to nothing. He moved his eyes away from her and looked down at the packed snow.

"I get way too panicked.. when I'm nervous. It causes my mood swings," Deja whispered, unable to control herself. She didn't like it when this happened, but really couldn't do anything about it. Pity, she could be a nice mare, just without the nerves. She looked up at the stallion, and my lips played with a piece of his mane eagerly.
