Dream and Demons

Chris hissed softly, and hugged himself closer to Isobella. When the teen came towards them he bared his teeth. Funny how vampire babies had teeth right when born. That made the teen stop in his tracks. He stared at the baby for a few seconds before stumbling backwards.

Isobella put Chris in his crib and tried to push the teen out the door.

Jacob soon came into the room. He placed the food on the bed and grabbed the teen by the shirt, almost throwing him out of the room. Quickly he closed and locked the door behind him. "You two alright?"

"Yes, I think so," Isobella said, glancing at Chris before sinking to the floor.

"Isobella!" Jacob gasped. He gently pulled her into his arms and to the food, gently he set her down and moved the steaming plate towards her. When his gentle lips pressed against her forehead he let out a long sigh and went to Chris. "Blood, or milk?" the two bottles were clutched in either hand. One holding blood while the other held milk. When Chris wrinkled his nose as he thought that made Jacob chuckle. Quickly the baby snatched the blood and looked at Isobella as if asking for permission.

Isobella just nodded, taking a bite of her own food. "This is good, where did you get it?"

"School cafe`." Jacob answered with a smile. He ran his fingers through his hair before sitting beside Isobella. He placed his arm around her, sitting silently.

"Do you know who that was,?" Isobella asked.

"One of my stupid friends. I could smell the alcohol on his breath." Jacob's voice went ashamed as he said this. He shook his head and sighed.

[soz, i left with my boyfriend]

"Oh," Isobella said, looking at the ground.

"He'll get suspended most likely." Jacob promised. He glanced over at Chris who was happily drinking from the bottle.

"Suspended? I wish he was dead," Isobella said, whispering the last part.

"True." Jacob sighed. He gently kissed Isobella's neck, wrapping his arms around her.

Chris pulled at the crib's bars. "Out! Out! Out!" His voice was more musical than anyone would have thought. He kept pulling on the bars, jerking harder with every pull.

"Jacob...not right now, please," she said, slowly slipping his arms off her.

Jacob slipped away from her. He pouted for a few seconds before nodding.

"OUT!!!" Chris screamed louder. He jerked harder on the bars before one began to crack.

Isobella sighed and walked over to Chris's crib, pulling him otu and setting him down on the floor.

Chris grabbed the leg of Jacob's jeans to pull himself to his feet. He stumbled around the room, laughing.

Isobella sat on the bed, staring out a nearby window.

"Your son is walking...well trying." Jacob chuckled, motioning towards Chris.

Chris laughed happily as he stumbled to the ground. He pushed himself to his feet again and kept running.

"What? Oh..yeah," she said, suddenly feeling sick.

"You okay?" Jacob asked, placing his hand on Isobella's shoulder.

Chris sensed the sudden change in mood. He stopped running and slowly walked towards Isobella.

Isobella slowly began to cough. SHe leaned over, but instead of pucking, she spit up blood.

Jacob and Chris both recoiled away from the blood. Chris slowly went to his mother, placing his hand on her arm. "Mommy?"

Isobella slowly collapsed to the floor, coughing more and more blood up as she went.

[....what's wrong with the girl?!]

Jacob gently placed Chris on the bed. He went to Isobella's side and lifted her up. "Isobella!"
